In a career spanning almost 2 decades, Ayan has donned several hats. Some of the roles he has played in IBM, where he has been employed for almost 19 years include that of a Learning Consultant - Strategic Planning & Execution, Delivery & Deployment Manager, Communication & Branding Consultant, and Learning Design & Development Consultant.

He has also handled Training, Facilitation, Assessment Development & Deployment, Event Evangelism, Knowledge Sharing & Management, Project & Program Management, and ITIL / Problem & Incident Management.

Instrumental in winning 2 Silver and 1 Gold Brandon Hall award in 'Best Learning Strategy and Governance' (2013), 'Best Learning Program Supporting a Change Transformation' (2016), and 'Best Advance in Competencies and Skill Development' (2020).

Stevie Award

Won a Stevie Award, considered as the world's only international, all-encompassing business awards program in the category of 'Achievement in Workforce Development and Learning' in 2021 (Bronze).

Conferred with the title of 'IBM Accredited Professional' in 2010 for his knowledge, skills, and contribution to profession.

Knowledge Sharing Champion

Recognized as one of IBM's top 25 Knowledge Sharing Champions for 2021 and one of 16 Knowledge Sharing Super Champions in 2022. Received the title of Knowledge Sharing Guru, a lifetime achievement award for Knowledge sharing, in 2022.

Service Excellence

Over the years, he has won 43 Managers Choice Awards (2005 onwards) and 21 Service Excellence Awards (2007 onwards) for significant contribution in priority areas, aligning to strategic intent and delivering value to IBM's clients.

He was recognized as the best example of IBM internal collaboration worldwide in 2013 and won a Digital Gold Medal for his Knowledge Sharing practices.
